yeah, orlando was a shame. it still had a very respectable 600+ attendee rate, but baltimore the year prior had over 800.

the hotel was very nice, but there was the odd strain or two like the rule of no beer in the hallways!

I think a lot people look at the conference as a chance to do the whole beer trip thing, but most don't realize that once you enter the hotel, you can checkout anytime you want, but you can never leave <guitar solo>

Well, by that time I had left Orlando to live in Hawaii, so that was two less attendees right there (SWMBO & me).   :D

I know they didn't show up for the conference in Orlando.  I'm not sure why, whether it was distance or the fact that nobody wanted to go to Florida in June, but it was a very low turn-out.
I was in Orlando, it was a great time, and I'll be wherever the conference is moving forward.  I think this will be my 8th conference. :)

yeah, looking here.. http://www.ahaconference.org/conference-information/past-conferences/

this will be number 10 for me.

My first was the 2001 LA conference. Missed 2002 in Texas and 2005 in Baltimore.  Helped organized 2001, 2004, 2009 and 2011.

That's a great reference to show how the conference has grown recently.

That 1991 Manchester, NH always cracks me up.  But back then I was working Night Audit in VT and drinking Michelob Light.  I work in Manchester now ( and drink better beer ) and live just south of here.  The Verizon Wireless is about the only place big enough now but not much for hotels around, and none attached.

Maybe Boston one day but it won't be cheap I can tell you.  Too bad too, since the Hynes Convention Center has 3 major hotels connected to it ( Sheraton, Marriott, & Westin ) so you never need to go outside.

I've been to Denver '94, Baltimore '95, NOLA '96 (where I met my wife, and also judged BOS meads), Cleveland '97, and Chicago '03.

Needless to say, NOLA was my hands-down favorite  Brewstorm '94 was a blast.  The others were a whole lot of fun too.

I'd love to see the NHC return to NOLA.  It is a GREAT town!

Fingers crossed on this year's waiting list!

This will be my 13th.  All good, but I enjoyed Chicago the best.

This will be our 7th.  Chicago in 2003, then all from 2007-2011.  Too much work got in the way from 2003 to 2007.

They have all been a great time.

See you all in June.

What??? There was a conference in Milwaukee in '92? And I had just started homebrewing and missed it. ;D

I've only been to Minneapolis in '10 and now Seattle in '12. Glad I caught the "nearly sold out" Tweet as I also reserved a hotel room right away and thought I'd have plenty of time to actually commit some cash to it. Apparently Twitter is useful after all.

Well guys, the waiting list route might be your best bet.  There is reason to hope.

I signed up on the waiting list and have been successful in registering for NHC '12.

Color me happy!  See you in Seattle (Belleview)!

If there is a forum meet up this year, I will try and not wander off right before hand.   :P

I was thinking about that....we should try it again.  Maybe set a time to all invade the hospitality suite?  Hmmm, perhaps we should start a new topic about this.
