I have to ask , is there any beer WE (East Coasters) can get regularly that you West Coasters cant?
Seems every time I hear of a beer , I go looking and am greeted with FAIL

Lucky for me I am on the cusp of trying Bells beers.
My boss is headed to a trade show in Pennsylvania and I gave her a list

Arizona and North Dakota is as far West as its distributed.

I wonder if some of these smaller breweries could work in conjunction with each other to help spread the goodness around?
Protection of their base market is part of the deal too I would imagine.

Here in CO there are several beers I would love to get, but can't.  Some of them include Bells, Southern Tier, and Cigar City.  Oh well, all good things in all good time.

At least I can sample most of them at the Great American Beer Festival.

There's also something to be said (from both a "freshness" and a "green" point of view) to buying/drinking local.

Plus a lot of states throw up pretty big obstacles to importing alcohol, both in terms of taxes and by requiring a different distributor in each state.

Has anyone tried  Clipper City Loose Cannon out of Baltimore, MD. This is an EC IPA that is highly hopped, over 3lb/barrel.

They have good beers overall, least what I have had.

We get the Clipper City up here in NY sparingly. However, my neighbor had a daughter living down there so were were treated to a case from time to time.  I forget the name but the 10% wheat beer was also very good. Loose Cannon is a favorite though.

Out of curiosity, which PA beers are on your list. I am fortunate to live about 8 miles from the Victory Brewery.  Troegs Nugget Nectar is available now, I am planning on grabbing a case this weekend.
