Big Brew Day 2013
« on: April 19, 2013, 11:35:23 am »
This will be the first year that I (and my local LHBS) are participating in the AHA Big Brew Day. The AHA home page currently has a splash story on the More Fun Blonde Ale being 'one of the recipes for this year's BBD', are there other recipes coming as well? I had heard that BBD is focused around a single recipe rather than multiple ones.
I'm only here for the beer....

There are actually 3 recipes:

But some of us are brewing others as well.

I'm hosting like I have for years, but it's gonna be a pretty small event.  The biggest brewfest around always gets scheduled for the same day and a lot of people do that instead.

Our LHBS hosts a big event every year: group brew, homebrew garage sale, seminars and classes, food trucks, pints by the neighboring nanobrewery, etc.

The Seacoast Homebrewers will be brewing in the parking lot of A&G Homebrew Supply/Earth Eagle Brewings in Portsmouth, NH. Here's the info:
Event Name or Location: A&G Homebrew Supply.
    Contact Name: Gretchen McDonald.
    Street: 165 High St.
    City, State: Portsmouth , NH.
    Country: USA .
    Website: www.aghomebrewsupply.com
Event Description: BIG BREW DAY! We'll be brewing in our parking lot with the Seacoast Homebrew
Club for the third year running. Want to brew, too? Just call the shop at 603.767.8235. Or just stop by
for some great conversation, to see brewing in action and enjoy this downtown Portsmouth activity. We
are also celebrating our 2nd Anniversary. Cheers! Free; outdoors; 10am-3pm.

We'll probably have somewhere between 7-10 brewers doing their thing!

Lucky dogs. How cool would that be?  A day of brewing with Denny!  Jealous

I went out out there one year. We seemed to drive and drive forever. Finally we arrived at this quaint little ranch with a nice brewshed where I saw the coolest garden gnome I'd ever laid eyes on......then it moved and I realized it was Denny.
