We should all agree this doesn't suck.

Good stuff. Such a cool guy, especially compared to other Eagles. I understand that Glen Frey and Don Henley were difficult, especially after getting famous. While I'm at it, I could go for a long time without hearing "The Heat is On".

The best eagles albums came out before Joe Walsh. Go listen to Desperado. Y'all only listened to the radio stuff.

I'm familiar with most of those songs. Their well written.but they don't do it for me. I think you have to be a little more country than me to get into  it. If I'm wanting something with a country vibe I would rather listen to John Hiatt.

This thread made me thing of something though. Neil Young. What is the deal? He is the most hit and miss musician in my life. Tons of great songs, and also some of the worst crap I have ever heard. Not a lot in the middle.

Can you imagine Bob Dylan or Neil Young trying out for American Idol?
Simon Cowell would have an aneurism.

The Eagles are meh.  I can take or leave them.

If you want good long-haired country music from that era, a far better choice is "The Gilded Palace of Sin" by the Flying Burrito Brothers. Heck, "Workingman's Dead" or "American Beauty" are better country than the Eagles.

You guys that don't like Boston don't own the LPs and don't really understand what it is like to hear that music played loud, and not just the radio songs (though all of their songs up until the 2nd side of Amanda are pretty much awesome). "Don't Look Back" is so freakin' awesome. Those guys were mind blowingly talented.

I assume by those guys you mean Tom and Brad because from what I recall, Tom played everything on the albums and Brad sang all the vocals. Might have just been the demos, though. I can't even answer this question because other than pop stuff, I still listen to most of the stuff from my youth. I just got off a cruise a couple weeks ago with bands like Y&T, KIX, Winger, etc. and I'm going see Maiden a couple times this summer as well as Chicago Open Air.

Almost bought tickets to see Iron Maiden this tour...opted to go see the Metallica tour instead. Stoked to see A7X and Volbeat. Iron Maiden's supporting act, Ghost, can't hold a candle to those two.

Can't remember if he's been listed or not, but Jimmy Buffett. After living with 2 parrot head roomates for 2 years, I could be really happy never hearing anything from him again. This past weekend in Deep Creek MD, I was reminded of this when he popped up on someone's iPod and everyone except me really got into it. Ugh!
