I have had a few experiences in which US05 beers wouldn't clear. I have had the same experience with other yeasts so I can't say it's US05's fault.

PS. That being said, I have become a fan of liquid yeast over dry. It seems to start fermentation faster and I believe (maybe confirmation bias) I have less problems with off flavors.

I feel the same. S05 is a little more powdery than 1056 and takes longer to clear. I've used it many times for short notice brewing, but I much prefer 1056 (and liquid cultures in general).

I don't use US05 as much as I used to but I have had the same experiences with clearing. It usually takes a couple of more weeks to clear but for most of the beer styles I brew the time is needed. I could see it as annoying for beers you want to drink fresh...
On Tap/Bottled: IPL, Adjunct Vienna, Golden Stout, Honey Lager
Fermenting: IPA
Up Next: mexi lager, Germerican pale ale

More summer beers!  German Hefe.  This one had mash pH issues: as in a way too low 5.05!  I did nothing to correct this.  I did add a quart of tap to the boil, which bumped it up a bit.
Funny thing is I'm not sure it mattered, maybe just because of the style, but it's super refreshing and thirst quenching.
1.052 to 1.011 using 1.5 liter starter of wlp300.  Plenty of banana and clove but not overpowering.

Well, head retention isn't suffering either! Delicious looking beverage. What did you ferment at?

Quick shot of my German Pilsner, recipe from Brulosopher, no lagering time yet, just checking carb level, no issues there. Still young in flavor, time for it to hit the chest freezer at 31-32

Controlled at 62° for 4 days, then 65° for another day.  Move out of temp control to ambient 68° until it finished.

Nice, Frank.  I stocked up on pils yeast, German ale yeast and some lacto prepared to brew a bunch of German beers for Sept, but they're still sitting in my fridge.  Can't seem to find the time lately.

The results of my first all grain brew are ready to drink.  Introducing Gizzy Face APA.  Came out pretty clear with just cold crashing, but I will use gelatin going forward as well.  It's a good easy drinker with moderate bitterness.  It could use some more citrus flavor, so next time I will up the hops a little, and add orange peel when I dry hop as well as in the boil.  Overall, I am very pleased with how this came out.

Tastes as good as it looks.  Not only my first all grain, but my first time making any water adjustments as well.
