New Kolsch that has been on gas a couple weeks. I didn't use gelatin this time. I felt I could feel it on my teeth. May be crazy, but I felt I could tell a difference in the gelatin vs non gelatin the last batch.  If your not trying Giga 021, you should.

Nice. Yeah, gelatin is nasty. I quit using that sh*t long ago.

Need some extra beer line to get to your keg. Been saying 5 O'Clock Somewhere all day. I'll have one of those.

BLUF: This British Golden Ale is pretty good.

Big mouthfeel for a 1051 beer. Nice mix of fruity esters and moderate citrus from the hops.

This is my first British Golden Ale. Probably off style; fruity from using Pacific Ale yeast. Slight nuttiness from 100% Maris Otter grain bill. I bittered with Warrior to 25 IBU and used Amarillo at 5 and 0 minutes.

Edit: retracted comment about nuttiness being out of style. BJCP says bready and biscuity is common. I am probably just using the wrong descriptor for what I taste.

What did you land on for a recipe?  Also, did you fine that because it is pretty darn clear?
Risk of failure should be no deterrent to trying.

Fined with gelatin.

For 3G at 1051 OG:
100% MO
25 IBU Warrior at 60
0.2 oz Amarillo @ 5 (2.6 IBU)
0.4 oz Amarillo @ 0
WLP041 Pacific Ale
Yellow balanced water

This beer was probably at the low end of "Hop flavor was moderate to moderate high" from BJCP guidelines. I think you could double the hops, maybe more, and still be in style.

On the clarity: I didn't cold crash. I added the gelatin to the bottom of the keg.l and transfered the beer which was at 64F. I wondered if the gelatin would still work. I guess it did.

That's my current favorite glass.  YHB makes better beer but I love the VW bus logo.

The Citra-ho 7, fruit bomb DIPA
This is my first time using citra.  I'm extremely happy with the clarity on this one.  Surprisingly the melon flavor is much stronger than I had expected.
