Is it red when you hold it up to a light though?

Definitely.  It needs a good bit of light to get through.  But a bright flashlight on the back of the glass shows the red.

This was the first time I used roasted barley in a beer.  It was 1/2 pound in a 5 gallon batch.  If I brew this again, I'll probably cut that back to 1/4.

I had a similar experience when I first made an Irish Red--it was an Irish Brown. I've found that 2 oz. or so of roasted barley was enough for 5 gallons.

Nice!  Love adding fruit to Berliner.  Here is my Berliner Weisse with cherries aka Catharina Sour.

Envy the impressive, appropriate glassware too!  Czech dark is one of the most satisfying beers out there, and totally under the radar.  Nice job.

Is there a recipe posted for that Czech Lager?  Looks like a perfect brew for my well water, based solely on color.

I am looking to do one soon as well. I know there are a couple of strings around about recipe design.

I'm thinking something like:
71% pilsner
20% munich II
8% caramunich III
1% carafa
On Tap/Bottled: IPL, Adjunct Vienna, Golden Stout, Honey Lager
Fermenting: IPA
Up Next: mexi lager, Germerican pale ale
