I recently ordered 2022 Mt Hood dried whole cone from -
https://yakimavalleyhops.com/

Mt Hood
"Bred in 1983 and released from the USDA breeding program in Oregon in 1989, Mt.
Hood is a triploid aroma-type cultivar with similarities to German Hallertau and German
Hersbrucker. It is named after the famous Oregon volcano."

Cheers

If I am reading correctly, perhaps NOT the case after eating Thanksgiving dinner ;-), growing location comes into play. Mt. Hood ARE NOT = Hallertau. Last minute substitue, maybe.

("perhaps NOT the case after eating Thanksgiving dinner ;-)" lol, hopefully it was good wine or brew, and turkey Fully Cooked.)

Didn't intend to suggest Mt Hood were Hallerertauer Mittlefrueth.
It was a suggestion to consider American Noble like hops as a substitute, if you reside in the U.S..

I have great success ordering hops after harvest, and are received within a few days.
This year 1 lb each of Tettnanger, and Mt hood were ordered, split into 2 oz's, vacuum sealed then frozen.
These hops will last me until next years harvest, no more hop drama.

I've seen hops being sold from 2017-2019 harvests, who would possibly use these ?, not I.

Cheers (also an old sitcom I liked)

Where everyone knows your name.

I visited the Bull and Finch in Boston years ago. (Bar called Cheers on the TV show). Unfortunately, I guess I expected more of the bar. There was a life size standing cut out of Norm...

Yeah, it's a tiny little hole-in-the-wall, and it doesn't remind me at all of the show. But the location is great, and the food is decent. I often find myself stopping there with the family for a quick lunch when we're in the area of the Common.

Calling Denny! Calling Denny!

Perhaps Zymurgy should do an article on the many versions of Hallertauer?

Also, when did the stupid reCAPTCHA on each and every reply begin? What a PITA!

You wanna write it?

It started today due to the large number of bots the last few days.  I didn't realize it was going to be so draconian, though.  I'll look into it.
