Dark Mild

It wasn’t Excellent or Outstanding, and I knew that, but it’s the beer I brewed so I submitted it. And from a Grand Master II …I’ll take Very Good!

My goal has always been to brew good beer at home.  I recently switched to low(er) ABV beers. I found it challenging to brew a good low(er) ABV beer with full flavor that wasn’t thin.

I take this as validation that my changes are headed in the right direction.

Gail is a wonderful person and really knows her stuff. Congrats!

I received my scores today. I am very pleased with the feedback I received. I saved a bottle of each entry that I will taste this weekend while re-reading the feedback.

I am especially pleased that Gail Milburn, a Grand Master II, judged one of my beers “Very Good”.  I’ll take that!

One judge thanked me for submitting that same beer.  Pretty cool.

Gail is a friend and a great judge.
