80F, blue skies, dry, and a little Redneck and Woo around here.

Marfa TX, headed to Terlingua for the night. Might see the Marfa lights tomorrow night.

These were slamming into my roof with the most sickening thuds late last evening. This storm caused a lot of damage to cars and other property. Thankfully the waves of hail lasted only seconds each in my area.

Roof appears OK but the top of my mailbox is crushed in from a single hail-strike. ::)

Sorry to hear about the hail.  Keep an eye on the roof.  You see a hail damaged roof very easily when you tear it off by the round spots on the bottom of the shingles.  Each big hail stone can weaken or puncture a shingle.  It won't be that obvious from the top but can allow water to seep thru if bad enough.

I'm happy to have gotten by with only 2 hard freezes this week.  It looks like we should finally be warming up around here.  Low of 22F on Sunday night, a low of 27F on Monday but was in the 40's last night.  Heading towards the 60s or 70s by the weekend for highs.

Unfortunately, I know what you mean and agree. Had to replace our roof 2 years ago after a big hailstorm. And last year, not to be out done, the house got struck by lightning. Luckily no fire, but lots of damage to electronics. I'm hoping to break the streak this year. Gotta love the Midwest.

I dreamt about having big dents in my roof last night... :(

Sigh. Means a trip into the attic while it's raining to check for leaks. Hate going up there. We're supposed to get some more rain today and I'll go up if it lasts for any significant time.

Imagine the sound of someone pitching a fast-ball into the side of your house. I admit to screaming- not out of fear but rage at the thought of the damage to the roof!

Weatherman said hail of this size travels at 80+mph and can kill or cause serious injury. I would not have liked being struck by one of these large hailstones!

In typical Oregon spring fashion, the weather here can't make up it's mind.  A week ago it was sunny and 85 degrees, and then it was gorgeous in the 70s for a couple days... now it's 48 and cloudy and it was cold and rainy yesterday too.  Yay Oregon!

Record highs here too… Right around 80°F the past few days. I'm scared to think what August might bring.

Hit 84 here by the water. I came pretty close to turning on the AC.

The rains have left Austin and we're now in the triple digits as well. Good thing the chest freezers are still working....

Ha!  We've had the A/C on since April.  Today is supposed to be a little cooler than of late with a high of only 90 and humidity at 80%.
It's a wet heat.
