It's damp and rainy and only about half of the Californian transplants are wearing winter hats and ski jackets.

Just turned cold here, 55F or so, within the last day or two. Is making my FV temperature rig almost redundant in my sub-cellar, at least for secondary. Getting a pretty steady 68F ambient.

The temp finally dropped this past weekend here in south-central Iowa.  Still warm for this time of year but highs in the high 40's to low 50's instead of the high 70's.  Today is rainy and windy.

I'm hoping for one more nice day before it really starts to drop.  I have tickets to the last home game for Iowa State.  My daughter is in the marching band.  It would be great to get in the 50's with little to no  wind.  The predicted temp is about right, at the moment, but still crossing my fingers.  :)

I got 2' yesterday in Liverpool, NY
Is that in the zone of Lake Effect snow?

Yup. I'm in lake effect alley between Oswego/Fulton and the City of Syracuse. Lake Ontario is a beast.

Dang! That much snow already, wow. I'm in Iowa, it's just chilly and windy here now. We had a nice run there for a while, now I guess the weather has decided to be more like what it should be... High of 39F and West winds today...oh and cloudy. The sun doesn't like us anymore.

We had a brief interlude with winter. It's back to 65F days. So still pretty much fall.

It is currently the British stereotype of weather; grey, not cold but not warm either.  At least it isn't drizzling.

It's windy as hell; there are palm fronds everywhere.

Mine says sunny, but that is a damn lie. It basically looks like the “golden hour” all damn day here. Everything is covered in ash and I can barely see the houses on the Riviera. Wear your N95 masks outdoors.

Clearer today in Orange County, but I can still smell lots of smoke. Be safe in the valley and Ventura and SB

Last couple days here in Portland have been like that too.  October and November were just gray and rainy, but the last couple of days it's cleared out, not a cloud in the sky, but that means it's dropping below freezing overnight (day highs in the upper 40s/low 50s), but this east wind out of the gorge is just ripping! 10-15MPH sustained with gusts higher, for the last three days straight.  It's crazy.

It eventually warmed up to just below freezing, so I just went to the local drive-in for a burger and a big icy phosphate. Have to pretend it's summer once in a while. At least it's clear --  thinking of you SoCal guys. Be safe.

I see you're from Akron. I had to drive from Youngstown to Akron yesterday afternoon. 76 was a mess.

Yeah, I was in a meeting this AM with a guy who took 45 minutes to go less than a mile in town.  On the main drag. In "rush hour."  I just shoveled (first of the year) and my tracks are already covered.   Looks like we're doing it all over again tonight.
