Rainy and close to 50 today. Certainly much warmer than usual for this time of year. Good brewing weather.

We've got a forecast of freezing fog for tomorrow . . . joy.

Freezing fog?  You sure have some silly weather.  Does it hurt if you walk into a bank of freezing fog?

It's 70 and sunny here.

We're *finally* getting some more snow. About 12-16" out of this storm, and it's our first significant one in over a month. The next few days look to be sunny with a couple feet of fresh powder. 8)

How about some sun? Haven't seen the sun in a couple weeks. :(

Must be nice.  Freezing fog happens when the water drops in the fog are below freezing but they don't form ice until they land on a surface.  it doesn't accumulate much though, so there's that ::)

Sounds like a PNW kinda thing... :-\

We had some tremendous fogging conditions last week...something like 1/16th mi visibility. Freezing fog is very rare here.

Yep, this time of year is called Makahiki.  We get 180" of rain a year here at my house on the windward side of the island.  About 3/4 of that falls November through January.  I live in a tropical rainforest (on the slopes of an erupting volcano).

Funny thing is, on the other side of the island, in an are called Puako (in the South Kohala District),  they get less than 15" of rain a year.  That part of the island is in the rain shadows of Mauna Loa, Hualalai, and Mauna Kea.

I bet you can guess where the high-end resorts are located... ;)

But of course!  ;)

It is raining a lot here on Oahu.  Not quite as much as you are getting though.  Doesn't rain quite as much on the Leeward side where I am though.

Been clear, cold and unseasonably sunny and dry here in the NW. First drops of rain in weeks today. Climate strange.

It is so strange!  I just stepped outside, looked up, and the night sky is flooded with a gozillion tiny pinpoints of light!  What does it mean?!   :D
