Is to Early to Say Happy New Year?
« on: December 31, 2010, 05:30:55 pm »
Ms. Tubercle is cooking wings in the deep fryer as we speak (per Capazzoli's recipe), pouring a fresh homebrew (something close to an Old Ale), waiting on the S.C. Gamecocks vs Florida St game to start - GO COCKS!, dreaming about the Moonshiner's Reunion in October and trying to figure out how much longer I need to boil to increase my efficency.

It has been a great year and Tubercle has enjoyed the fun and informative banter between all my friends on this forum.

Here to another great 365 days of the same.

Hope every one is safe & warm.

UCF won the Liberty Bowl so it's already a Happy New Year here!  Woo hoo!

Just got invited to my friends' house for homemade pizza and rootbeer (they are Mormons).  They usuall make their rootbeer in a corny keg with dry ice.  The dry ice store was closed today so no joy.  My friend does have bottled nitrogen though.  I mentioned that some stouts are pushed with nitrogen.  Before I could offer to lend him my small CO2 rig he decided to try nitrogen on the rootbeer.  This ought to be interesting... Anyone ever try nitrogenated rootbeer before?

Lets hope 2011 is better than 2010.

How could it not be.

I just got done a great big overflowing plate of Roast wild pork and homemade sauerkraut served along side a couple of huge perogies. I think I over did it. Gonna abstain tonight and Im not even sure I will be awake to ring in the new year.

You guys are gonna have to do it for me.

Happy New Year to all.

Enjoy those wings tuber, one of my very favorite dishes.

I'm wishing everyone a happy and safe New Year.

Working. Hoping I won't get stuck here till 8am like last year. Quite frankly, to me it's amateur night. And I'd rather be at home.

A bottle of Infinium awaits me. Can't wait for 2330 hrs! ;D

Happy Brew Year to you all!  I spent the afternoon brewing a batch of dry stout and figuring out what to do with a keg of tripel that accidentally got frozen.  I'm going to let it thaw and sit to let the CO2 re-absorb.  Hopefully, it'll be okay.

Here's to a healthy and happy 2011 for everyone - especially Babalu!  Hang in there Jeff!

I always hope the new year is better than the last, but that doesn't mean the last was bad :)

Working on some Infinium, it's good for me, but there's a bit much left open from the party . . .

Happy New Year to all. Here's hoping for a happy, healthy and prosperous 2011. I'm making some pork and sauerkraut as a tradition of mine for the last 25 years or so...serving it up with my IPA later today. Hope everyone made it through okay.

Peace and Cheers  8)

The last day of 2010 was good; brewed 24 gallons of APA with a close brewing buddy, watched a few bowl games, and ate steamed May river oysters for dinner (the May river is in the Bluffton South Carolina area...the oysters are Eastern Oysters...AKA "Crassostrea Virginica" for those who know their oysters. Dipping sauces included cocktail sauce and melted butter with tabasco vinegar)

tubercle, I was pulling hard for the Gamecocks; tho I follow the Georgia Bulldogs, I have to pull for the SEC when appropriate. Five turnovers is hard to overcome.  :'(

punatic, it was a good Liberty Bowl, UCF played well; congratulations.  :)

Happy New Year All...looking forward to all you have to say in the upcoming year...you're all a class act.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

The family and I got home about 11:45 last night from some friends house and it didn't occur to me post here before bed.  2010 could have been worse but I hope to not end too many years the way it went out.

I did get 1.082 out of Denny's RIPA recipe on Thursday.  Maybe in 2011 I'll be able to figure out what I did different.   ;)
