Restructured meat product??? Whatsit????  :o

Quote
What's the meat made of?
Pig innards and plenty of salt. Typically, "restructured meat product" includes pig bits like tripe, heart, and scalded stomach, says Whet Moser at Chicago Magazine, citing a 1995 article by Robert Mandigo, a professor at the University of Nebraska. These parts are cooked and blended with salt and water to extract salt-soluble proteins, which act as a "glue" that helps bind the reshaped meat together.

Thanks but no thanks...I'll pass on this engineered McNastyness. That's disgusting.

I actually tried it many years ago and wasn't a fan then.

Just think of it as a reshaped hotdog.

Mcrib just sounds nasty on way too many levels.
There is only one thing I'll eat at McDo, and I know it's not good for me but here in Carlsbad I can get a green chile double cheeseburger for $1.29, and the green chile is actually pretty good.  It's great hangover food.

I never eat at McDonalds. The thought almost makes my stomach turn. However, I do remember from my youth that the McRib was pretty darn tasty and the best thing to be had (besides the fries). ;) SO the thought has crossed my mind to try one. Haven't gathered enough nerve to do it...

Whataburger has one on special but not that cheap. +1 And I allocate those high calorie infusions to beer drinking. :D

I went into work today and it smelled strongly of dogfood up at the front desk. I asked the young lady who was answering phones about it and without hesitation she said: "oh- I went to McDonalds" Sure enough- nuggets and fries... :-X :P

I don't think it's even good enough for a dog.

So... has anyone out there actually had one? I have not but I am tempted too just for curiosities sake. I will fully admit that I love McDonald's Quarter Pounder w/cheese and their fries are pretty frickin' awesome. Egg McMuffin works on so many levels for me as well.
