That's right isn't it - calcium minimum is more related to flocculation.  Yeast nutrient, and of course strategic temp control, and yeast health and growth rate is more important for full attenuation.  Thanks for the reminder!  I haven't forgotten your request to start a thread on my dubbel - hopefully tonight.

Cool ! I think I may brew that one for New Year's Eve, if not sooner.

Dubbel recipe posted to Recipe section.  Apologies to all for going off topic again and again!

You will notice a little picture of the mona lisa above the smileys when entering a message.

if you click that you get a little bit of code like this (messed up so it will show)

inside those tags, paste the URL of the picture on a picture hosting site such as flickr. It must be the URL of the picture itself.

Alternately you can install tapatalk on your smart phone, subscribe to the forum and then it's a one click to post any picture from your phone via the tapatalk hosting site. It's so much easier to do this I now use that exclusively to post pictures.

Here's a Belgian the I just tapped. It's a light version for my wife. So ~100 calories. Makes for a good summer session beer.

Here's a pic of my recent Peeper Ale clone. I'm calling it "Keeper" 'cuz I'm so happy with how it turned out.

Nice gift and vessel but I rule out almost all their advertised glasses as unstable or hard to clean. Which makes me wonder why many beer glasses are often designed in such a way as to be tall and top-heavy with narrow bases.

Maybe it originates as some sort of a drunkometer. ::)

Close to running out of this cider and it's been a really, really good one. I think I hit just the right balance of sweetness, acidity and tannin. Gonna miss this one.
