I went to the website because, well, I've never had Taco John's...I was thinking how much less Mexican could a taco joint be and the the answer is none...less Mexican.  But still who am I to turn up my nose at unauthentic cheap American comfort food...I who occasionally like Totinos pizzas (don't you judge me!)...  So I may have to take the plunge next time I'm in the vicinity of a Taco Johns, just for the novelty of it!

This was an epic BFI thread and the ensuing derailment was fantastically befitting in its epicness.  High fives and ninja master secret handshakes all around!

I'll try them if I ever come near them...TJ's tacos that is.

I'm not sure how tacos and swords are related but it certainly has been an interesting discussion.  :)

...I who occasionally like Totinos pizzas

I certainly, of all people, would never intentionally derail a post so forgive me before we get back on track, but I ask is pizza really Italan? I have always heard it was an American invention. The first one I ever tasted was back in the 60's when my family went to N.J. to visit an uncle who had migrated there and we went to a restuarant that served "tomato pie". We got our first Pizza Inn here in the upstate of SC in the 70's and the line would be around the corner.

BTW, pizza is one of my favorite foods and is concidered one of the food groups at Chateau Tubercle.

Best pizza I ever tasted was in Stockholm, Sweden.

Now I just make my own usually. Or sauce and cheese on day old French bread.  In the toaster oven and voila! Pizza....

You have to be from the east coast, specifically within 2-4 hours from New York City, to really understand Pizza.

I might disagree.  Chicago knows how to make pizza.  Chicago style with the sauce on top...nummers!  I used to eat Totinos all the time Nic.  Great drunk food.
