Dear AHA, Brewers Association and Support Your Local Brewery Members,
Homebrew bill HB 630 has been passed by the Illinois House and the Senate Executive Committee, and now awaits a vote before the full Senate, which could happen as soon as this Friday, May 3.
The American Homebrewers Association is supporting an effort by the Illinois Homebrewers Alliance, a coalition of Illinois homebrew clubs and homebrew supply shops, to pass HB 630.If enacted, this bill will allow Illinois homebrewers to legally share homebrew with friends and family, at club meetings and to enter homebrew competitions. It also would allow homebrew supply shops to conduct brewing demonstrations and offer samples to customers.
Thank you for your support of homebrewers. Your action could make the difference in whether or not this legislation becomes law. Please forward this message to other Illinois residents/businesses that may be interested in supporting this bill.
