From working closely with each organization on the AHA Governing Committee, to hosting and moderating countless interviews and panels, Justin has seen it all. Join us for a walk “backstage” as he tells us about how Zymurgy influenced his career, which brewers have inspired him the most, and how he’s seen this hobby and industry grow exponentially over the years.

Justin Crossley, Founder & President

The Brewing Network

Justin Crossley is the founder of The Brewing Network (BN) and The Hop Grenade Taproom and the host of the podcast, The Session. He began his career in terrestrial radio, but quickly realized that program directors tend to shun drinking on the job. He founded the BN to share his love of radio and beer and is known as the one person who can talk the most about beer, without actually knowing anything about it.

Shawna Cormier is the founder of Seattle Beer School, an education and events company created to advocate accessibility, community, and inclusion in the beer industry. Shawna is a worker bee at Floodland Brewing in Seattle, Washington, as well as an Advanced Cicerone, Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) certified judge, chair of the American Homebrewers Association (AHA) Governing Committee, Brewers Association AHA Board Representative, and co-host of the podcast Cheers to Beers. She has two beautiful kiddos, Mabel and Finian, and a very supportive husband, Josh.
